This kaftan is an exclusive, single edition garment. It is printed using the ancient Ajrakh printing technique on handwoven Mashru Satin.

The shapes and motifs of Ajrakh echo the forms of Islamic architecture and intricate Jali windows. The Ajrakh printing technique is an intensive process of hand block printing and resist natural dyeing. Studded all over with sequins, it conveys the essence of starry constellations in indigo, madder, black, and white across lengths of cloth.

The kaftan is further embellished using intricate beadwork, hand embroidered by master craftsmen using the heritage craft technique of Ari hand embroidery. Hundreds of hours have been spent creating this exclusive embroidery making the garment a true labour of love.
