How do pre-orders work?
You can secure your upcoming Varana items by placing a pre-order and making an advance payment. The anticipated shipping date for each pre-order item is provided on the respective product page. Upon placing a pre-order, your payment will be processed, and your order will be reserved until the stock is received for shipment to our London location.
If your order comprises both in-stock and pre-order items, or if you purchase multiple pre-order items with varying expected shipping dates, we will dispatch items as they arrive at our London location. Rest assured, you will incur a single shipping charge for the entire order.
Once an item is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation through your chosen method of contact. This notification will enable you to track the delivery of your eagerly awaited Varana items.
Do you offer made-to-order pieces or custom orders?
Varana's Made-to-Order service allows you to order a customised size for a bespoke or current style from our collection. Made-to-order pieces are meticulously hand-crafted to your specifications. Please note that these items cannot be returned or exchanged.
Orders typically take 14 - 28 days to complete, depending on the specific requirements. A 10% surcharge is applied, and an estimated shipping date is provided once your order is confirmed. Pre-payment is required in full upon order confirmation, and it is non-refundable.
Once your made-to-order item is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation via your chosen method of contact. This notification will include tracking details for your convenience.
Are all products made with sustainable materials?
Varana is determined to only use natural fabrics that are 100% biodegradable. Our fabrics include silk, cotton, linen and cashmere, all of which involve minimal waste during production and are readily biodegradable. By not using synthetic fibres such as polyester, nylon and acrylic, which are made from petroleum, Varana significantly limits its contribution to plastic pollution and climate change. Are all products handmade?
Yes, all our products are meticulously crafted by a combination of thoughtful design and skilled handiwork. Each garment is both designed and sewn in our own atelier located in Bangalore. We take pride in using hand-operated sewing machines to create our pieces in small batches, ensuring attention to detail with hand-finished touches. Varana's supply chain is intricately linked with small-scale craftspeople and workshops owned by individuals. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship globally from varana.com offering free shipping worldwide via DHL on a carbon neutral parcel service. We ship all orders on a DDP (delivery duty paid) basis meaning prices shown at check out include the relevant import taxes and duties with no additional charges on delivery. How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Orders placed using international delivery are expected to be delivered within 3-5 business days. Orders placed within the UK can be expected to be received within 1-2 business days, with dispatch the next business day after you placed your order.
How can I check the status of my order?

What is carbon-neutral delivery?
Carbon Neutral delivery via DHL allows us to offset the carbon emissions generated by shipments by supporting climate protection projects, such as reforestation and renewable energy initiatives.
REFUNDS AND RETURNS
What is your return policy?
We offer up to 14 days to arrange a return. All items need to be returned new, unused, in the original packaging, with all tags attached. Read more about returns here.
